Purpose and Mission

"In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven."

Matthew 5:16 ESV

Certainly easier said than done. We are not bloggers. As a matter of fact, it is difficult for us to keep journals. The purpose of this blog is to simply tell a story as it progresses. Along the way I hope that The Light is revealed, but lets be honest, we are only human. 

The purpose and mission of this blog is to tell the story of how God is working through the business as missions project, Global English. We want to share the challenges we face and the accomplishments we achieve as God continues to entrust us with Global English as a business and as a mission. From time to time we would also like to share the struggles we face as foreigners in another land and the blessings we receive as we confidently move forward in obedience to God's calling. As we post new things, hopefully, we will get the chance to share some of the past stories as well. 

In brief, Global English exists to generate the resources necessary to fund Christian mission work in the Amazon River Basin. It is the primary sender for our personal ministry God has called us to in this region, but also, serves as a resource provider for other missionaries and Christian organizations as well. As "the story unfolds" you will have the opportunity to read about the mission outreach projects made possible through the fund-generation of Global English; both from personal and organizational aspects, see the challenges and accomplishments of our endeavor here in Brazil, and hopefully be encouraged and blessed by God's awesome power as He is revealed through this project!
